What are the typical results?
Very effective results, most clients achieve 70 to 90 percent reduction. Also another benefit to having laser hair removal is that all areas treated become soft and smooth with no shadow.
Should I expect any pain?
There can be some discomfort in the treatment area. It usually depends on the density of the hair. Some feel it can be similar to the snapping of an elastic band.
How is the skin cooled during treatment?
Our laser has a “sapphire cold tip”. This technology keeps the tip at -2 degrees Celsius, which when contacting the skin, it cools the skin before, during and after the treatment. It makes the sessions more comfortable and minimizes the reaction on the skin.
Are there any side effects? If so, how long do they last?
There may be some adverse effects. All laser treatments can possibly cause discolouration in the form of hypo-pigmentation or hyper-pigmentation. The colour change usually subsides within 3 to 12 months. According to (laser hair removal) industry reports there is a 10% chance of skin changes. Blisters happen very rarely but are usually associated with sun exposure (tanning).
If I have a change in skin tone or receive a blister, what happens?
We recommend protecting your skin with SPF 30 for the duration of your treatments. Any blisters usually heal within 3 to 5 days. Change in skin tone can take up to 3 to 12 months to dissipate. They are often the result of a client being exposed to sunlight before treatments. It is very important as a client that you do not tan and avoid sun exposure while undergoing treatments.
What results can I expect, and how many treatments will I need?
Results vary depending on your skin colour, hair colour, and the density of your hair. Sun exposure, your schedule of care, the specific area being treated, and your pain tolerance will all have an effect on your results and how many treatments you may need.
